What TasteBack does
TasteBack is a Chrome extension that lets you save thoughts, pages, and screenshots that inspire you, organized by day.
Data we collect
TasteBack stores only what you explicitly save — thoughts you type, pages you choose to bookmark, and screenshots you take. This data is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in storage. It never leaves your device.
Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect personal information
- We do not track your browsing history
- We do not send any data to external servers
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties
Permissions explained
- storage — to save your thoughts and pages locally on your device
- activeTab / tabs — to read the current page’s title and URL when you click “Save This Page”
- captureVisibleTab — to take a screenshot of the current tab when you click “Screenshot Tab”
- declarativeNetRequest — to block taste-hijacking trackers
